Hazelwood School District Brings Friday Night Football to Three High Schools with State-of-the-Art LED Stadium Lighting

The Challenge

Hazelwood School District’s three public high schools have competed in a combined 20 state football championships since 1968. But until recently, students and families have not enjoyed the thrill of home games under stadium lights. In November 2022, voters overwhelmingly approved a public bond issue that included the construction of new football fields and track surfaces at Hazelwood East, Central, and West High Schools, a move that paved the way for state-of-the-art LED stadium lighting that would move game time from Saturday afternoons to Friday primetime. District leaders moved quickly to identify a lighting provider that would deliver optimal results for safety, visibility, and fan experience.

The Solution

District leaders chose to partner with Musco, a company with a strong reputation and a cooperative purchasing contract for schools in the state of Missouri.
